Graffiti Wraith

Many people have been reporting sudden disappearances of people who spend time near dark graffiti-covered areas in urban landscapes. Witnesses of these disappearances claim to have seen something that moves through the colorful walls and attacks anyone who gets too close. Not much is known about this creature, but we named it the Graffiti Wraith.

Monster Description:

The Graffiti Wraith has a constantly changing appearance to try and blend into graffiti-covered surfaces. Its body was seen with a swirling amalgamation of colors and patterns that mimicked the graffiti around it. This makes it almost invisible until it chooses to reveal itself.

Habitat:

The Graffiti Wraith is said to inhabit urban landscapes, blending seamlessly into the vibrant, ever-changing canvas of street art. It is not known if this creature is primarily active during the day or night. Glimpses of the Graffiti Wraith were witnessed in alleyways, dark subway stations, and other areas where graffiti may be common.

Behavior:

The Graffiti Wraith is believed to use its unique ability to traverse through walls and surfaces adorned with graffiti. When it travels, it leaves behind a trail of shimmering, ephemeral paint that glows briefly before fading away. This trail can entice unsuspecting artists and passersby, drawing them closer as they are captivated by the beauty of the colors.

Once someone gets too close, the Wraith emerges from the mural with a sudden burst of energy, its form morphing into a shadowy figure with elongated limbs and an eerie, playful grin. It reaches out with tendrils that resemble dripping paint, grabbing hold of its victim before quickly retreating into the depths of the artwork, leaving only the faint scent of spray paint and a chilling whisper in the air.

Lore:

Not much is known about why the Graffiti Wraith chooses to attack people. Some claim that the Wraith seeks out those who have a passion for art, using their creativity to fuel its mysterious existence.

Conclusion:

We suspect that the Graffiti Wraith is a malevolent cryptid. One that uses the energy of humans to aid in its ability to move through different graffiti-infested surfaces. The Monster Research Network suggests visitors of large metropolitan areas be wary of their surroundings. Especially dark spaces covered in a mosaic of graffiti art.
